Tali’s Desktop App Just Got Easier to Use, Now with Telehealth Support
Table of Contents
Tali’s desktop app has always been a favourite among clinicians who want a fast, reliable way to capture notes during patient visits. Now, it’s getting a major upgrade with a refreshed, more comfortable interface and an integral new feature: Telehealth support.
This update brings Tali’s clean new design, improved navigation, and background updates to the desktop app, while introducing the ability to record Telehealth visits using your preferred headset or VOIP setup.
Whether you’re seeing patients in person, online, or over the phone, Tali now adapts seamlessly to every kind of visit so you can focus on care, not clicks.
What’s new in the desktop experience
1. Telehealth recording support
You can now use Tali to record Telehealth visits through your computer, including when you’re using headphones or VOIP.
This much-requested feature allows Tali to capture both sides of the conversation clearly, helping you create accurate, complete notes for every virtual encounter.
2. A fresh, user-friendly interface
The desktop app now features Tali’s updated colour palette and streamlined navigation, designed to enhance readability, reduce eye strain, and make documentation more comfortable.
Softer colours improve visibility and reduce fatigue during long sessions.
A resizable window gives you more control over your workspace, whether you keep Tali beside your EMR or open in its own view.
Simplified navigation makes it faster to start encounters and review notes.
It’s the same Tali you know, now easier on the eyes and smoother to use.
3. Automatic updates
Once you install this update, it will begin updating automatically going forward. You will no longer need to reinstall the app or check for new versions. Future improvements, bug fixes, and new features will appear in your desktop app as they are released, without any extra steps.
4. Access to all the latest Tali features
You’ll now enjoy full access to Custom Templates, Personal Dictionary, Upload a Recording, and Form Filling.
These updates align the desktop experience with what’s available on Tali’s other platforms, ensuring you get the newest Tali features the moment they are released, so your workflow keeps getting better without any extra steps.
What this means for you
This update is all about making your desktop experience more comfortable, more capable, and ready for the realities of hybrid care. You’ll notice fewer clicks, smoother navigation, and a familiar interface that keeps getting better automatically.
From clinic visits to Telehealth calls, Tali continues to evolve to meet the needs of modern clinicians. It’s the same trusted scribe, now refreshed and ready for every kind of care.
Why we’re making this change
Over time, older desktop versions required manual updates and began to fall behind the newer releases of Tali. That meant not every clinician had the same experience or access to the newest capabilities.
This upgrade ensures everyone using Tali on desktop benefits from the latest performance, design, and security updates automatically.
It’s part of our ongoing commitment to keep Tali assistive, not disruptive, so you can trust that your tools are always working quietly in the background to support you.
Important note for users on older desktop versions
If you’re currently using Tali Desktop version 3.80.0 or older, you’ll need to uninstall and reinstall the new app to continue using Tali after January 31, 2026. These legacy versions don’t support automatic updates and will be retired to maintain reliability and security. After that date, older versions will no longer function until they’ve been replaced.
