TL;DR

This week’s update is shaped directly by clinician feedback.

Call a Patient is now available to all users, making it easier to place outbound patient calls directly from Tali and keep the call, transcript, and documentation in one secure workflow.

We are also launching dictation support for note edits, rich text formatting, AI-powered template creation, document generation from tasks, and the ability to carry approved tasks into generated notes.

This Week

A few weeks ago, we asked a simple question:

What is one thing you wish you could have or change in Tali?

Many of you replied, and this week’s release is shaped directly by that feedback.

Here are a few things we heard:

“One thing that would be cool is if you could ‘free dictate’ into Tali’s dictation.”

“I would like to have the tasks listed at the end of the visit notes. Currently I have to come back to the visit notes on Tali and review one by one.”

“It would be helpful if I could just click on that task and generate the letter directly, instead of having to start the document separately.”

So we built them.

Dictation support for note edits launches today, along with the ability to generate documents from tasks, add approved tasks to generated notes, use Call a Patient, customize templates with AI, and more.

We continue to prioritize:

Many of these improvements come directly from clinicians using Tali every day. If there is something you wish Tali could do better, reach out anytime at product@tali.ai. We read every message.

Call a Patient Is Now Available to All Users

Patient calls are part of everyday care, but they often happen outside the rest of the clinical workflow.

You might be using a desk phone, personal mobile, or separate calling tool while also trying to document the conversation, keep track of follow-up items, and update the patient chart after the call.

Call a Patient helps bring that work into one place.

Everyone can now place outbound patient calls directly from Tali, helping keep the call and documentation in one secure workflow. Open a new encounter, select Call a Patient, enter the patient’s phone number, and start the call.

Tali captures the conversation, separates speakers in the transcript, and helps turn the call into a structured note using your selected template.

For clinicians, this means fewer tools to switch between during phone visits. For clinics, it helps reduce post-call documentation and keep patient call workflows more consistent across the team.

We’re already hearing great things about it:

“Really love this makes a big difference for my practise”

Dictation Support for Note Edits

You can now dictate your edits directly into a note.

This update came directly from clinician feedback. If you prefer speaking over typing, you now have a faster way to add details, adjust wording, or include extra clinical context without switching back to the keyboard.

Rich Text Formatting

You can now bold, italicize, and format your notes directly in Tali.

This gives you more control over how your documentation appears, making notes easier to scan, easier to review, and better aligned with your preferred documentation style.

Generate Documents From Tasks

You can now generate referral and consult letters directly from tasks.

Instead of starting from scratch, Tali can help turn follow-up actions into ready-to-edit documents in one click.

This helps reduce extra steps after the encounter and keeps documentation moving from task to next step more smoothly.

Add Tasks to Generated Notes

Approved tasks can now be carried into your generated note.

This helps keep follow-up actions connected to the encounter and preserved in the patient chart, so the next steps discussed during the visit are not lost after the note is complete.

Create and Customize Templates With AI

You can now build a custom template from a sample note, description, or existing template.

Tali generates a note preview, so you can review, refine, and save the template before using it with patients.

This makes it easier to create documentation that reflects your workflow, specialty, and preferred structure without needing to manually build every template from scratch.
